Blizzard has rebuilt the Rustler series for this season and let me just say, WOW. Every ski in the lineup is an upgrade but the Rustler 9 might be the most impressive. It sounds crazy because it was already one of our favorites, but this is kinda like when your hot friend somehow gets even hotter. At 96MM underfoot, it’s the most groomer friendly of the Rustler collection, and the new construction just brings the ski’s groomer ability to another level. It’s more stable, more precise, and grips better, all while maintaining enough of the playful feeling we came to know and love with the previous version of the ski. The old Rustler was exciting; playful and effortless in tight terrain but lacked power when you really wanted to push it. The new 9 has whatever its predecessor was lacking, and is still plenty playful.
Who is this ski for? I don’t say this lightly, but the Rustler 9 is one of those skis that’s going to make most skiers VERY happy. It’s not a race ski, and it’s not a weightless alpine touring ski, but it covers everything in between, confidently.
Who is this ski not for? Competitive ski racers, cross-country skiers, and snowboarders.

It's on nearly all of testers' top tested list, and for good reason. It can arc a turn, it can handle a trip through the trees, it can be skied aggressively but isn't difficult to ski. Compared to the old Rustler, the new one is more powerful and stable, but still maintains most of the energy we loved about the old one.
