The Nordica Santa Ana 97 is brand new for this season -- it replaced the Nordica Santa Ana 98. The new Santa Ana series still has all of the DNA from previous generations of the ski but the new construction has improved performance and skiability on all fronts. The Santa Ana 97 has a more generous rocker profile, and a more forgiving tail shape while still maintaining the strength and stability skiers have come to know and love from the Santa Ana series. At 97mm underfoot the Santa Ana works well in a huge variety of terrain making it a weapon regardless of where you prefer to ski. Like the older Santa Ana 98, the Santa Ana 97 carves a shockingly good turn on groomers but with the updated profile and shape of the ski, the new Santa Ana is easier to pivot or slash. These construction updates make the ski more accessible at lower speeds, improve maneuverability, and allow for easier turn initiation. Experts or aggressive skiers will still find the Santa Ana 97 to be more than enough ski, but less experienced skiers can access the performance the skis have more easily.
